Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions constitute the complete service agreement (the “Agreement”) between you (the “Customer”) and Chem-Dry On The Spot for the provision of carpet, upholstery, mattress, and hard floor cleaning services by Chem-Dry On The Spot. Please review this Agreement carefully. Use of our services indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions.
General Conditions
a. The Customer must provide suitable parking for the provision of our services.
b. Technicians must be granted reasonable access for unloading equipment and accessing the areas or items to be cleaned.
c. Moving heavy and delicate furniture is not included and must be done by the Customer prior to booking. The area(s) must be ready when we arrive.
d. We cannot guarantee that all stains will be removed upon cleaning or refinishing. Stains derived from caustics, acids, and permanent dyes may be permanent and cannot be removed.
Pricing
a. All prices include GST.
b. Our minimum charge for residential carpet, upholstery, leather, and mattress cleaning is $165 ($150 plus GST).
c. Our minimum charge for commercial carpet, upholstery, leather, and mattress cleaning is $198 ($180 plus GST).
d. Our minimum charge for vinyl flooring cleaning is $350.
e. Residential carpet cleaning is priced by the number of rooms and areas.
f. Stairs are priced by the number of steps.
g. A standard-size room is any furnished room/area up to 15 square metres; prices vary for larger areas.
h. Commercial carpet cleaning for open areas is priced by square metre, unless located in a house setting.
i. Upholstery cleaning is priced by the number of standard seating positions, with one standard position being a maximum of 70 cm in length including armrests.
j. Mattress and car interior services are priced per item/vehicle.
k. Hard floor cleaning is priced per square metre.
Bookings
a. Job quotations given over the phone, by email, or via our online system are subject to final inspection upon the technician’s arrival at the premises.
b. Price alterations may occur for extra areas not indicated in the booking or for conditions not covered by our standard cleaning such as pet urine deposits, permanent stains, heavy soiling, etc.
c. The technician will confirm the price with the Customer before commencing work. If you disagree with the final price, we reserve the right not to provide the service.
d. We reserve the right to decline any booking request for any reason.
Surcharges
a. An extra charge may apply for moving excessive light furniture, resulting in additional time. A fee of $100 (GST excluded) per hour may apply.
b. Extra charges may apply for collecting and returning keys if the pick-up site is not near the job site or if keys must be returned the next day.
c. Extra fees may apply for difficult access to the property or when carrying equipment to upper floors without lift access.
d. Extra charges or hourly rates may apply for time-consuming access to the working area.
Payment
a. Payment is to be made directly to the technician in cash or by credit card before or immediately after the service, depending on the arrangements made.
b. Commercial clients are invoiced with a given payment term.
Health and Safety Hazards
a. It is the Customer’s duty to provide a safe environment free of hazards to our technicians.
b. We reserve the right to decline or interrupt services if the job site is considered unsafe.
c. The Customer should avoid affected areas during cleaning to prevent falls or related accidents.
d. When carpets and soft furnishings are not completely dry, they present a slipping hazard on nearby hard surfaces.
e. The Customer must keep children and pets away from any equipment or hot water during the cleaning process.
f. The Customer must agree to keep pets restrained during cleaning as doors must remain open for equipment setup.
7-Day Satisfaction Guarantee
a. Chem-Dry On The Spot offers a 7-Day Satisfaction Guarantee for most services. If you are not satisfied, we will return to fix any issues. If still unsatisfied after the second visit, we will promptly refund your money. See full terms here including exclusions.
Cancellation
a. There is no cancellation fee. However, we appreciate at least a 24-hour notice to cancel bookings to save time and effort in preparation.
Accidents, Breakage, Damage, and Theft
a. We are not responsible for repair or replacement of items broken or damaged due to pre-existing wear and tear, incorrect installation, or usage.
b. The Customer must inform us of any incident involving accident, breakage, damage to property, or theft within 24 hours of service completion.
c. To the extent permitted by law, the Customer is not entitled to claim any loss for incidents not reported within 24 hours of service completion.
